Let me just say I was never so freaked out on the day of a shoot as I was this one!
I got an email from Megan that she was interning here for the summer and her husband was coming to town for a very short visit and they wanted photos. Luckily I was available. Of course I thought of being rained out but I was even ok with doing indoor shots and improvising. No biggie. Rescheduling wasn’t an option due to the length of Alec’s visit. However-my biggest fear of all, no light, was entering the picture even after planning on arriving 1 hour early. We were meeting at sunset, I got caught in a huge traffic jam, the parking attendant said I could not park in their garage because my vehicle was too tall (what?) and two other garages were filled. Mind you driving around one city block in down town Chicago can take ten minutes so time was not on my side, Megan wasn’t answering her phone and it was already going on 7pm! YIKES! Luckily I got ahold of Alec, we decided they would jump in my car and we would just drive. After two more full garages and more of traffic we landed at Millennium Park at 730pm. Thankfully it was a sunny day and thankfully I was shooting two adults who could follow directions, walk fast and who are definitely in love! I’m pretty sure they bought I was nuts with my babbling nervousness but maybe that’s what kept the smiles on their faces-laughing at me. Whatever it was, it worked!
Thank you Megan & Alec for being so easy going and fun to be with! I hope you land in Chicago when school is out and you pick a city to call home!

Well, marriage certainly hasn’t changed you guys…look even more handsome than the day of your wedding….although definitely more relaxed. Chicago really seems to be your kind of town….congrats to both of you. Glad I am part of your family….Love you both.
